Are your interviewing methods different from other Placement Firms?

We're very thorough.  At A. Taylor we are very particular about this during our training sessions.  Only upon viewing the back of an application will you fully appreciate this extensiveness.  In addition, all of our interviews are conducted in private areas apart from our Marketing department, thus allowing sensitive information to be processed intelligently and effectively.  It's a win-win situation for our clients and candidates alike.  We also have private conference rooms available for clients to interview on premises upon call.

Many candidates also respect our in-depth interviewing process.  At A. What should I look for in a Personnel Consultant?

Look for specific strengths that relate to your needs.  A good P.C. should have some knowledge in most areas of job statistics, occupational needs and employment trends.  Look for a Personnel Consultant who you feel is willing to listen to you and understands your business.

One should feel entirely at ease with their Personnel Consultant and should feel assured they are receiving the same degree of professional guidance as they would from a lawyer or accountant. 
Above all a Personnel Consultant’s integrity should be beyond reproach.  At A. Taylor, we’re just as much concerned with an entry level candidate as we are with a seasoned specialist.

What is a C.P.C., and how does it involve private Placement Firms?

C.P.C. stands for Certified Personnel Consultant. Only expert placement firms will insist that their Personnel Consultants earn their C.P.C. designation as soon as they qualify.  They must have a minimum of two years experience in a private placement firm, subscribe to the National Association of Personnel Consultant’s Code of Ethics, and be prepared to pass an extensive examination administered by a sanctioned testing association on employment agency law and personnel consulting practices.  A. Taylor is proud to participate and support this program.

How much training do you offer your Personnel Consultants?

We pride ourselves in setting training goals and letting our consultants know what is expected of them.  Our training requirements are both flexible and demanding, given the strength of the individual and the subject matter.  The C.P.C. requirements is an example of the rigorous demands placed on a consultant who seeks a C.P.C. designation.

National Association of Personnel Consultants. It is the National trade association for all recruitment and personnel consulting firms.  N.A.P.C. has unified us and shared energies and ideas since 1961A. Taylor is an active member of the N.A.P.C.

Do you test your candidates?

Many of our clients place emphasis on pre-interview testing while others prefer to do their own testing.  A. How can your outplacement program help existing clients?

Relocation, layoffs and terminations are often costly and delicate issues to both the employer and employee.  Once notified by the company of the impending removals, A. Taylor arranges in-house interviews with the affected employees.  Timing is critical, so we work hard to expose the employee to the outside market immediately giving them every opportunity for placement with another client.

Through our Outplacement Program, costly company expenses for unemployment or severance pay can be avoided.  Also, an employee who realizes he/she has a reliable employment source to counsel them will usually give their best effort up to the last day of employment.

What types of temporary assignments do you handle?

Our temporary assignments include all office support personnel, i.e., secretaries, receptionists, word processors, data entry etc.  Our e-Platform Technology Division, A.T. How does your "Talent Scout" program work?

Our “Talent Scout” Program rewards those individuals, (many of whom are placed candidates) who recommend talented candidates to us for job placement.  Once a referral is placed with one of our clients, the “talent scout” receives a prize or cash equivalent for his/her efforts.  Satisfied customers are our greatest source for new business.  Hundreds of excellent candidates have been added to our roster as a result of this outside recruitment bonus program.
