I
keep hearing about the "A. Taylor look"-What
exactly is that?
It is probably more typical of a P.R. firm. Many of our clients
and candidates are impressed by the office decor. Our private and
confidential interview settings allow for confidentiality and the
exchange of delicate information. Since we are so conscious of this responsibility,
clients can easily entertain searches on our premises.

Are
your interviewing methods different from other Placement Firms?
We're very thorough. At A.
Taylor we are very particular about
this during our training sessions. Only upon viewing the
back of an application will you fully appreciate this extensiveness. In addition, all of our interviews are conducted
in private areas apart from our Marketing department, thus allowing
sensitive information to be processed intelligently and effectively.
It's a win-win situation for our clients and candidates alike. We
also have private conference rooms available for clients to interview on
premises upon call.
Many candidates also respect our in-depth interviewing process. At
A. Taylor, we offer
the professional guidance needed to prepare candidates for the competitive
market. We address all market inquiries, fine tune all interviewing
techniques and offer competitive positions with excellent benefits and
advancement opportunities. Many of our candidates continue
relationships with us as they seek guidance throughout their career
development. Back to Top |

Where
do you normally get your candidates?
Through our e-Data
Net Systems, we have available always a qualified pool of candidates.
Our searches are more focused toward the successfully engaged individual
who brings to the table a proven track record, rather than soliciting the
best of the unemployed through the classifieds.
Our e-platforms are always in motion. Hundreds of new
candidates are being fused with our daily job opening reports for perfect
career-candidate matching, thus giving our clients the competitive edge
and our candidates improved opportunities.

What
should I look for in a Personnel Consultant?
Look for specific strengths that
relate to your needs. A good P.C. should have some knowledge in most
areas of job statistics, occupational needs and employment trends.
Look for a Personnel Consultant who you feel is willing to listen to you
and understands your business.
One should feel entirely at ease with their Personnel Consultant and
should feel assured they are receiving the same degree of professional
guidance as they would from a lawyer or accountant. Above
all a Personnel Consultant’s integrity should be beyond reproach.
At A. Taylor,
we’re just as much concerned with an entry level candidate as we are
with
a seasoned specialist.

What
is a C.P.C., and how does it involve private Placement Firms?
C.P.C.
stands for Certified Personnel Consultant. Only expert placement firms
will insist that their Personnel Consultants earn their C.P.C. designation
as soon as they qualify. They must have a minimum of two years
experience in a private placement firm, subscribe to the National
Association of Personnel Consultant’s Code of Ethics, and be prepared to
pass an extensive examination administered by a sanctioned testing association on employment agency law and personnel consulting
practices. A. Taylor is
proud to participate and support this program.

How
much training do you offer your Personnel Consultants?
We
pride ourselves in setting training goals and letting our consultants know
what is expected of them. Our training requirements are both
flexible and demanding, given the strength of the individual and the
subject matter. The C.P.C. requirements is an example of the
rigorous demands placed on a consultant who seeks a C.P.C.
designation.

What
is our responsibility as a Placement Firm? Our
primary responsibility is to perform our searches carefully from inception

How
can your outplacement program help existing clients?
Relocation, layoffs and terminations are often
costly and delicate issues to both the employer and employee. Once
notified by the company of the impending removals, A.
Taylor arranges in-house interviews with the affected
employees. Timing is critical, so we work hard to expose the
employee to the outside market immediately giving them every opportunity
for placement with another client.
Through
our Outplacement Program, costly company expenses for unemployment or
severance pay can be avoided. Also, an employee who realizes he/she
has a reliable employment source to counsel them will usually give their
best effort up to the last day of employment.
